For using this feature, you need to install YouTube App in your Android or iOS device it has an inbuilt feature which allow you to save your favorite videos on your Smartphone.In this lesson, we will see how to Set-up and use the Offline mode of the YouTube App.
How to Download Your Favorite Videos using YouTube App
After downloading and installing YouTube app on your Smartphone (Android or iOS) open the app in your device now browse your favorite video once you found the video tap on the Download button located below the video playback screen.
Now select your download settings from the given option (Low -144p, Medium -360p and HD -720p) and then click on OK button.If you want to same settings for your all other videos (which you will download in future) then tick the Remember my settings checkbox.
How to View Offline Videos in YouTube App
So after downloading your favorite videos you can view them offline with your YouTube App for that open YouTube app on your Smartphone now click on your Account tab and then navigate to Available offline > Saved videos.
Please note here that downloaded videos can only be viewed with built-in video player of YouTube.
How to Configure Download Settings in YouTube App
If you want to change the default settings of your YouTube App just go to Menu button and head over to Settings section now navigate to Offline > Save Offline to configure your download settings according to your way.
To change the video quality just tap on Video quality tab.
If you want to delete your downloaded videos in YouTube app Just tap on Clear Offline tab.
You can also turn on the toggle button of Add over WiFi only in this way you can download videos only with WiFi enable networks to save your mobile data.
