- Go to start menu on your Windows computer and enter Run on its search bar then type Regedit on its panel.
- Now navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows Script Host\Settings.
Now in the left panel, you will see a enabled option if you see an entry with 0 that means Windows script host access is disabled on your computer.
Double click on it and give the value 1 to enable it.
- A value 1 means Windows Script host is enabled in your machine.
- A value 0 means Windows Script host is disabled in your machine.
Now click on OK button and exit the Registry section if you didn’t find this entry on your Windows machine then you have to create this entry it does not exist by default in Windows machine.

hello i went to the regedit.exe but i can’t find the enabled option, please help i have all administrative priviledges.
Hi Kenny, first you should check your windows PC whole settings and most important directories, please try to find other important setting, if it’s not working, most probably it should work, but somehow it not work, so you will have to find some other useful ways or to find some useful videos over YouTube, so that you can get rid out of it. we hope that should work.
Hello, followed your steps and it worked but the problem is after restarting the machine, the pop up message again shows. So I have to do the registry editing every time I shut down or restart my machine. Is there a permanent fix?
