According to a recent report South Korean electronics giant Samsung will launching it next generation flagship Smartphone Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge in India by Next week although the exact date is unknown but according to Economic Times the launch could happen around March 8 and the high-end Smartphone will go on sale in the third week of this month.

The report also claims that Samsung will invest INR 100 Crore (USD $15 million) on marketing the devices in India to compete with Apple’s iPhone 6s and iPhone6s Plus.

On the other hand, the design of the Smartphone is not many changes, but Samsung has changed some major improvement on the new Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge such as microSD card slot for external memory, improved camera sensor and Always on Display.

The Galaxy S7 comes with 5.1inches Super AMOLED Quad HD with 2560×1440 pixels resolutions.While the Galaxy S7 Edge comes with 5.5 inches Super AMOLED QHD with 2560×1440 pixels resolutions.Both The devices are powered by either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset or Exynos 8890 chipset depending upon the market.

Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edgefeatures 4GB of RAM and comes in two storage variants (32GB and 64GB) along with microSD card support for external memory.In terms of the camera, the Smartphone is equipped with 12 megapixels f/1.7 rear camera, OIS and PDAF, and a 5 megapixels f/1.7 front camera for selfie and video calling.

In terms of connectivity both Smartphone include hybrid Dual SIM card slot, 2G, 3G, 4G LTE support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC and micro USB port.Samsung Galaxy S7 powered by 3,000 mAh non-removable battery while the Galaxy S7 Edge powered by 3,600 mAh non-removable battery but these new handsets do not support Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology.

Both handsets certified by IP68 certification which makes them resistant to water and dust.On the software front, both devices run on Android Marshmallow along with TouchWiz UI.Apart from that, the biggest feature is the Always on Display mode and Samsung is also focusing on gaming segment with support for Vulcan API.
