Last year in the latter half of 2015 Samsung updated Android 6.0 Marshmallow for Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy Note 4 Smartphone and that was sent out by mistake now in a similar pattern a user has gotten the an update on his Galaxy S5 handset.

The owner of Galaxy S5 is from France and the update brings the phone’s version into Android 6.0.1 which comes with a security patch on January 1, 2016.The Update came on SM-G900F model number as an OTA.

Although it is an interesting news that Samsung Galaxy S5 is getting the Android Marshmallow update as this handset is from 2014 While the other flagship handset by the South Korean company haven’t started getting the final update yet because we were expecting that Note 5 and S6 edge + will update in December 2015 however that didn’t happen but we are assuming that Samsung is close to rolling out the Android Marshmallow update for flagship devices as well as other devices too.
