Samsung has announced its flagship phone Galaxy Note 7 at Galaxy Unpacked 2016 event in New York.The device has 3D glass, metal design and IP68 water and dust resistance.The main highlight of the device is its Iris scanner that can unlock the phone using eye recognition while Fingerprint sensor is already embedded in the device.The S Pen has smaller 0.7 mm tip which works more precisely than before.it comes in Blue, Coral, Gold Platinum, Silver, Titanium and Black Onyx color variants and shipping will start on August 19. It supports Hybrid Dual SIM (Nano + Nano/microSD) slot while the Single SIM version is also available.
Specs wise the device comes with 5.7 inch Quad HD (1440 x 2560 Pixels) Super AMOLED curved dual Edge Always on display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and its available in two variants one with Octa-Core Exynos 8890 (4×1.3GHz +4×1.6GHz) processor which will release for global market while the second model comes with Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor which will be available for selected market. The device equipped with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB Internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card slot.
It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. In terms of camera it has 12 Megapixels rear camera with Dual LED Flash, Dual-Pixel PDAF, Smart OIS, Aperture F/1.7 and 5 Megapixels front-facing camera with Aperture F/1.7 along with 4G LTE, Cat 12, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth v4.2, NFC, Type-C USB v3.1, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS connectivity options.It comes with a number of useful sensors such as Fingerprint , Iris Scanner (Eye Scanner), Barometer, Heart Rate Sensor and S Pen Stylus support.The device measures 153.5 x 73.9 x 7.9 mm, weight 169 Grams and equipped with 3,500 mAh Li-Po non-removable battery with Fast charging and Wireless charging (Qi/PMA).
