Last year Qualcomm has announced its SoC Snapdragon 820 with custom Kryo cores and the company launched the processor with LeEco Le Max Pro handset which was also be the first smartphone with 820 chipset.After that it was embedded into flagship devices such as Samsung Galaxy S7, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, Sony Xperia X Performance, Xiaomi Mi 5, LG G5 and more smartphones were powered by the same chipset.
Now according to a new report from Weibo user Qualcomm is working on new chipset which is more power full in compare of previous chipset and more feature friendly the chipset will known as Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 MSM8996Pro which may be power the upcoming flagship smartphones such as Samsung Galaxy Note6, LG G Flex 3 and upcoming Sony Xperia flagship smartphones.Specs wise the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset has four Kryo cores with a clock rate of Maximum 2.15GHz with 624 MHz Adreno 530 GPU.
But the new Snapdragon 823 chipset will be more powerful with a clock rate up to 3.0GHz with 700MHz Adreno 530 GPU according to the leak report.It also said that it will support up to 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM with 2166MHz Dual channel , up to 25 Megapixels camera support with 14-bit Dual ISP.As it was also said that the new processor will equipped with upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note Series and we known that Samsung usually launched its Note series devices in August or September so we can expect that Qualcomm will also launch its processor before that.
