I bought an iNew smart phone from Lazada Malaysia. The model is u5f.
After two weeks of using it, there was a small defect. The LCD screen would not always show when I pressed the on/off button. I reported this to Lazada Malaysia who gave me the contact number of a service provider appointed by INEW in Batu Pahat, a town close to where I'm staying. I sent there for repair and got it back after a week. But the problem still existed. I guess the person-in-charge just did a factory data reset for me because all my photos were deleted.
I complained to the service provider who told me to return the phone to him, which I did. The second time round, the phone came back without having my problem solved. I contacted the manufacturer via facebook message but got no reply. All in all, I sent this iNew phone four times (Yes, you heard it right!) to be repaired!
The final time, I still had a problem after receiving it. The service provider gave me a contact number of the manufacturer. The guy was not helpful. He claimed that such defects often happened to customers who bought from Lazada Malaysia. He said that he would try to exchange a new set for me. Today is already the third day and no news from him. So, I gave up on this phone and bought a different brand.
To be fair to the manufacturer, I would rate this smart phone only 2 stars out of 5, or 4/10. Luck was probably not with me when I bought mine.
