Motorola will soon roll out the Android Marshmallow update for its second generation Moto G Smartphone Company release this information on their support website where they mentioned about Marshmallow benefit for a device such as battery smart feature using Doze mode and new app permission that will give users more control.

Company already announced Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for its devices including Moto X play and Moto G (3rd Gen) The Motorola Moto G (2nd Gen) got the Android 5.0 lollipop update back in January last year but it did not get the update for Android 5.1 lollipop so if you are a user of this device you can directly update Android Marshmallow 6.0.

For successful installation of the software, the battery in your device should be at least 50% charged and connected with Wi-Fi network.

If you received notifications of update regarding Marshmallow

  • Select Yes I’m in option.
  • After that download and install the software on your device.
  • After the software is installed your phone will restart automatically.
  • Now your device is updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

In case if you have not received notifications message regarding update follow the steps below to manually update your phone

  • Open settings app in your phone.
  • Next select About Phone.
  • Next select System updates.
  • Next select Yes, I’m in After that download and install the software on your device.
  • After the software is installed your phone will restart automatically.
  • Now your device is updated to latest version of Android Marshmallow.
