Meizu has announced its latest smartphone in the MX series dubbed as Meizu MX5E it is the affordable variant of the MX5 handset which was released last year.The new handset has similar design with metal body with alloy frame , mback touch-sensitive home button which features mTouch 2.0 fingerprint recognition technology.
Specification wise Meizu MX5E comes with 5.5 inch full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) Super AMOLED display with corning gorilla glass 3 protection and powered by 64-bit Octa-Core processor based on MediaTek Helio X10 MT6795T chipset along with PowerVR G6200 GPU for graphics and runs on Flyme OS 4.5 based on Android 5.0 lollipop operating system.The device features 3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB internal memory without external card slot.
In terms of camera the device features 16 Megapixels rear camera with Dual Tone LED flash, Laser Autofocus, 6P Lenses, 4K video recording and 5 Megapixels front camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calling.The device measures 149.9 x 74.7 x 7.6 mm and weighs around 149 grams.The handset is powered by 3,150 mAh battery with mCharge technology.
On the connectivity front, the device supports 4G LTE (TD-LTE / LTE-FDD), 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4 GHz/5.0 GHz), Bluetooth v4.1, and GPS technology.The device has Dual SIM slot both have 4G connectivity options.
The Meizu MX5E available in Gold and White/Silver color options and priced at 1499 Yuan (Around INR 15,000/USD $230) for 16GB variants and 1699 Yuan (Around INR 17000 / USD $ 260) for 32GB variants.Currently the device is available from Meizu online store in China.Meizu will also introduce the m3 note , successor of last year’s m2 note at an event in China tomorrow.
