How to take Backup of an iPhone or iPad

How to Factory Reset an Apple iPhone or iPad
Once you complete the above steps you can start the reset process it is also important to note that you have to remove you SIM card from device so that you case use it on your new device.
In the screen shot we are using an iPhone running on iOS 9 but it will be same for all other versions of iOS .
Step 1- Go to Setting section on your iPhone then General section and scroll down until you see a Reset option.
Step 2- Now tap on Erase All Content and Settings. If you have set a Passcode for you device then it will ask to you enter the passcode.
Step 3- Now you will have to enter you Apple ID password because this way it will remove you account from this device and Find My Phone will be Switched off. If you only restore your iPhone by iTunes then it will ask for Apple ID and password when it reboots.The Method we are describing here will prevent the iPhone asking for an Apple ID when it will restarts.
Step 4- After that reset process will start and it will take some time, after which you will see the welcome screen asking you to swipe to continue.
Then your device will be ready to sold on or taken to an Apple store for repair or whatever you want to do with that.
