Gionee has launched a new device in India for its Marathon series although the device is already launched in China in last December now Gionee has finally started to sell their latest Marathon device in India.The device is known as Gionee Marathon M5 Plus which is also the First handset in Marathon series featuring Fingerprint sensor the device is built around all-metal body design and looks premium with high-end specifications and it is also the successor of popular Marathon M5 which was launched last year in India.
The new device comes with the Physical home button which also included Fingerprint sensor and the Marathon M5 Plus is the first Smartphone of Gionee which comes with Physical Home button.The device features 6.0 inch AMOLED FHD Display with a resolution of 1080 x1920 Pixels resolution and features 2.5D curved glass and Corning gorilla glass protection on top of it.
The device is powered by 1.3GHz Octa-Core Processor based on 64- bit MediaTek MT6753 chipset along with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of Internal storage which can be further expandable via microSD card up to 128GB.The device is powered by 5,020 mAh battery which is Smaller in compare of Marathon M5 and it provides 53 Hours of talk time and up to 829 Hours of Standby time.The battery also supports Dual Charging chips which can charge the huge battery in less time it is the similar technology which was introduced in the recently launched Vivo X6 and X6 Plus.
The Dual SIM Smartphone with Dual Standby runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with Gionee’s custom Amigo 3.1 UI which features AmiClone, Gionee Mailbox, Child Clone, and Ami Locker apps.In terms of camera, it has 13 Megapixels rear camera with PDAF and LED flash and a 5 Megapixels front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.On the connectivity front, the device supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth , GPS and more basic options.
The device measures 160.9 x 81.2 x 8.4 mm and weighs around 208 Grams and available in Gold and Silver color options with a price tag of INR 26,999 and will be available for purchase very soon in India markets.
