The Chinese Smartphone company Gionee has announced the Gionee Marathon M5 Mini Smartphone in Nigeria.This is 5.0 inches device quite similar to the Lite variant of the Gionee Marathon M5 Smartphone.
This device is powered by MediaTek MT6580 chipset and a 5.0 inches (720×1280) HD IPS display.It is equipped with 2GB of RAM and 16GB Internal memory which can be further expanded up to 32GB by a microSD card.The outer body is made of metal body and backed by a large lithium-Polymer 4,000 mAh battery which gives 14 days of standby time, up to 18 hours of talk time and up to 22 hours of music playback time this power is more than enough to operate your device.
This device runs on Android 5.1 lollipop operating system with Amigo UI 3.1 for better user experience if we talk about its camera its has 8 Megapixels rear camera with LED flash and 5 Megapixels front camera.it measures 143.5×71.0x9.6 mm in dimensions and supports GPS, Bluetooth, Wireless network and 3G connectivity.
During the launching event Marketing director of Gionee Nigeria, Mr Somoye Habeeb said.
Gionee focuses on innovation, efficiency and affordability in ways that other brands don’t. Having received a warm reception from the Nigerian market when we introduced the Gionee M5 a few months ago, Gionee is following up with the M5 Mini.
However, there is no word on pricing of this device yet this device will be available to purchase from the online and offline store across Nigeria.Although we have no idea about its launching on other markets.
