Many times it is difficult to find our iOS device connected through iTunes so in this lesson we tell you about how to view and locate your Apple devices like iPhone, iPad, iPod or Apple TV on iTunes which you already installed in your Computer (if you not downloaded you can download from this link).Your devices will be appears on different-different location according to the version of iTunes which you have installed in your PC.

We will take you through the step by step for each version of iTunes .Basically there are three version of iTunes which are as follow:

  1. iTunes 12
  2. iTunes 11
  3. iTunes 10 and Earlier

Locate iOS Devices in iTunes 12 Version:

It is very simple open your iTunes 12 which you have installed in your computer and connect your iOS device through included USB cable after connecting you will see a device’s icon on the top upper left corner of the iTunes window just look at the image below.

Locate iOS Devices in iTunes 11 Version:

If you have iTunes 11 installed on your computer then you can view your device by clicking the button that shows your device name in the upper left corner of the iTunes window but if you are in the iTunes Store than you will find your device by clicking the library button in the top upper right corner .In case you are not able to find your iOS devices may be this is a case of sidebar so just hide your side bar by going to select view > Hide Sidebar.

If you have connected multiple devices to your computer then click the devices button which will show you a drop down list of all connected devices then choose your device from that list.

Locate iOS devices in iTunes 10 and Earlier Version:

If you have iTunes 10 and earlier version installed on your computer then you can find your iOS devices in sidebar of iTunes window as like below image.
